“What is Connie's background?”
Connie’s career path has taken many turns. She began her professional life as a computer programmer. After working in Germany, in that capacity, she felt a call towards a career in human services. She subsequently earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in counseling deaf adults. She enjoyed a rewarding career as a counselor for deaf adults, a position as college professor, and served as the Department Chair/Program Coordinator of Disabled Student Services at a San Diego Community College for 10 years. “How did she discover her gift?”
In 1985 she unexpectedly and spontaneously discovered she is a Channel for Spirit when quite by chance someone invited her to see if she could channel for him. Initially she was skeptical, understandably reluctant, and could not believe that she had such a gift. As time passed her experience deepened and she became intrigued. After over 10 years of being what she described as a ‘closeted channel,’ in 1996 she resigned her position as a college professor to become a top-selling author, internationally recognized channeler, and popular retreat facilitator.
In 2005, a Hollywood producer decided to create a cable TV show featuring three Channelers who demonstrated their ability to help people lead more effective, abundant and fulfilling lives. He interviewed over 600 channelers from across the United States before Connie/Paularyo was selected as one of the three. Eventually Connie turned down the contract, so never appeared on the TV show.
In 2009, Connie/Paularyo was one of five prominent channelers selected to be featured in "Tuning In: Spirit Channelers in America," the groundbreaking sequel to the initial full-length documentary. "Tuning In” is being released in the summer of 2010. For more details, press here.
