Recently 27 people came together for our first Deaf Spiritual Retreat in the Boston area. About half the people came in skeptical, did not believe in any of this. They came because their friends were going. Some came out of curiosity. The other half were full of energy ready to grow and learn more about the world of unknown. A Deaf friend sent me this note: "Many people who are deaf or hard of hearing do not have access to spiritual retreats. In order for us to participate in the activities, the retreat facility would need to provide sign language interpreters. Even then, we would be "alone" among a sea of hearing people, and would not be able to easily interact before, during, or after activities. Thus, Deaf and Hard of Hearing people have a more difficult time developing our spiritual and intuitive sides."

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:

In the unhappy event, for any reason, you cannot attend the retreat, contact Lauren .
The following cancellation policies will apply.

• Transferring your Registration to a 3rd party more than 60 days prior to the retreat:
  In the event that you cannot attend the retreat but know of someone who can take your place, you can transfer the full amount of your fees paid to the 3rd party without penalty, on condition that Lauren is notified promptly by both parties of this transaction.

QUESTION:

I would like to you ask you few questions. I never had experience to meet channel and the retreat myself.. I know alittle something about engery and the earth. I really want to learn much more about it. will they ask me who I am?, why I am here? and what I am to do etc at the retreat?  I'm trying to think harder what to answer. smile

RESPONSE:

My Spirit Guides “Paularyo” will help you discover…who you are at the soul level , why you are here, and what you are here to do. On Friday evening when I channel Paularyo, that will be the topic. No worries. Paularyo will help you with this.

QUESTION:

Will there be enough time for people's questions with the group of this size? 

RESPONSE:

I find that whenever I do groups, even if you don’t get to ask your specific question, someone will ask a similar question and you will receive your guidance.  During groups everyone participates with each question to Paularyo.

QUESTION :

And may I ask how is that going to be conducted? 

RESPONSE:

During group channeling, Paularyo usually begins with “teaching” a topic, then opens up for questions.

Writing or signing personal questions before the group begins or during?

The questions are asked during the session.  I will have an interpreter during this time.

I’m so sorry you’re concerned about what you’re supposed to do while you’re at the retreat.  That can be very disconcerting.

Please allow your selves to come to this retreat with an open mind, an open heart, and open to whatever happens.  Allow it to be easy….and fun!

During our time together I want to be sure you have the opportunity to experience different forms of Spirit.  I believe Sheryl already sent you the schedule. 

We will follow the schedule loosely.  Mostly we will flow with it.

We will experience the following together:

1) Meditation

With the hectic pace and demands of modern life, many people feel stressed and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day to get everything done. Our stress and tiredness make us unhappy, impatient and frustrated. It can even affect our health. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused. A simple ten or fifteen minute meditation can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance.

Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy. Overcoming negative minds and cultivating constructive thoughts is the purpose of the transforming meditations you will learn. This is a profound spiritual practice you can enjoy throughout the day, not just while seated in meditation.

b. Journaling

Journaling is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to accelerate your personal development.  By getting your thoughts out of your head and putting them down in writing, you gain insights you’d otherwise never see.

While your brain is technically capable of processing a great deal of input simultaneously, your conscious thoughts play out in a certain sequence.  One thought triggers the next, which triggers the next, and so on.  Sometimes these sequences have a few branches, but they’re still subject to linear time, and at any given moment, you’re following one of those branches.  These thought sequences have a beginning, a middle, and an end, and it’s nearly impossible to see the big picture overhead view of a sequence while you’re stuck in playback mode.

This is where journaling can provide huge advantages.  Journaling allows you to break free of sequential thinking and examine your thoughts from a bird’s-eye view.  When you record your sequential thoughts in a tangible medium, you can then go back and review those thoughts from a third-person perspective.  While you’re recording the thoughts, you’re in first-person mode.  But when you’re reading them, you can remain dissociated instead of associated.  This dissociative view, when combined with what you’ve already learned from the associative view, will bring you much closer to seeing the truth of your situation.

c.       Automatic Writing  

During automatic writing messages seem to come out of nowhere through your hand and onto paper.

These messages come from your Spirit Teachers.  It can be used to receive personal guidance.
